  • Describe recommended stretches and exercises for Conservative Treatment
  • Understand and describe recommended exercises for post-op management from 4-20 weeks.

Behavioral Objectives

Upon completion of this class, you should be able to:

  1. Explain 2 types of MOI to the AC joint and the biomechanics occurring at the humerus and scapula that lead to an AC joint injury in an athlete.
  2. Propose 4 advanced exercises in the final phase of a conservative rehabilitation program for an athlete with an AC joint injury.
  3. Instruct an athlete in 4 main HEP components in the immediate phase of rehabilitation following an AC joint repair.
  4. Correctly demonstrate 3 PRE’s for the deltoid and pectorals in the advanced, strengthening phase for an athlete recovering from an AC joint injury.
