About Kevin Wilk, PT, DPT:
Kevin E. Wilk served as President of the Sports Section of the APTA from 2007 to 2010 and has trained more than 4,000 professionals through hands-on seminars and spoken to tens of thousands at more than 750 events worldwide.
For the past 30 years, Dr. Wilk has been an active physical therapist, researcher, and educator. Kevin is currently Associate Clinical Director for Champion Sports Medicine (a Physiotherapy Facility) in Birmingham, AL.
In addition, he is the Director of Rehabilitative Research at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham and is Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy Program at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. Kevin is also the Rehabilitation Consultant for the Tampa Bay Rays Baseball Team. Dr. Wilk received his physical therapy from Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, IL and his DPT from Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of HealthCare Professions in Boston, MA.

- Develop a comprehensive rehabilitation program for a patient with a diagnosis of Adhesive Capsulitis, (Frozen shoulder.)
Scapulothoracic Joint Assessment identification of Lesions & Treatment
- Describe the Acronyms TUBS and AMBRI and its clinical relevance when evaluating a patient with a shoulder injury.
- Articulate the definitions of laxity and instability and why these terms are not synonymous in the assessment of a patient's shoulder.
Rotator Cuff: Cuff Repairs
- Choose 5 advanced strengthening phase exercises for the treatment of a patient after rotator cuff repair.
- Identify 4 specific risk factors associated with the risk of developing stiffness in a patient following a rotator cuff repair.

Day 2: Knee
Patellofemoral Pain & Dysfunction:

- Choose 3 static drills for a patient who is in post-operative ACl repair recovery.

10 Keys to Treatment the Post-Operative ACl Patient
- Identify 4 surgical factors that can potentially affect rehabilitation outcomes in the post-operative ACL patient.
- Explain 2 differences associates with the arthrofibrosis versus a loss of motion in the post-operative ACL patient.
- Describe 4, treatment interventions specific to increasing knee extension ROM in the post-operative ACL patient exhibiting loss of motion.
- Choose 4, treatment clinical guidelines you would follow pre-operatively to reduce post-operative stiffness in patient who is ACL deficient.
