Learning Goals

Upon completion of this class, you should be able to:

  • Describe recommended stretches and exercises for Conservative Treatment
  • Understand and describe recommended exercises for post-op management from 4-20 weeks.
Behavioral Objectives

1.  Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to explain 2 types of MOI to the AC joint and the biomechanics occurring at the humerus and scapula that lead to an AC joint injury in an athlete.

2.  Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to recommend 4 advanced exercises in the final phase of a conservative rehabilitation program for an athlete with an AC joint injury.

3.  Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to propose 4 main HEP components in the immediate phase of rehabilitation for an athlete following an AC joint repair.

4.   Upon completion of the course the participant will be able to recommend 3 PRE’s for the deltoid and pectorals in the advanced, strengthening phase for an athlete recovering from an AC joint injury.
