Philip Malloy graduated with a masters of science in physical therapy from Nazareth College of Rochester, New York in 2003. He received his Sports Clinical Specialist certification from the APTA in 2007. He spent three years at the Howard Head Sports Medicine Center in Vail, Colorado providing post- operative rehabilitation following hip, knee and shoulder surgeries with some of the nations leading orthopedist at the Steadman Clinic. Philip has gained extensive experience in the rehabilitation following hip arthroscopy through his work with Dr. Marc Philippon at the Steadman Clinic and Dr. Shane Nho at Midwest Orthopedics at RUSH.
Philip has treated over 800 hip arthroscopy patients and has extensive experience in treating hip pathology both operative and non-operative. Phil lectures extensively at the local and national level on hip injury and rehabilitation. He is a faculty member in the University of Chicago Medical Centers APTA credentialed orthopedic residency. Currently, Phil is enrolled full time as a PhD student and research assistant within the department of Physical Therapy at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His research interest includes biomechanics and motor control of the lower extremity. Phil continues to serve as a consultant for Dr. Shane Nho at Midwest Orthopedics at RUSH providing clinical expertise for his patient care and clinical research.
During his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, cycling, and spending time with his wife, Molly and children Sep and Maeve.
