He will cover some of the basic science, specific exercises, and clinical applications. Luke Wakefield, a performance coach in Birmingham, will demonstrate a variety of core stabilization and activation exercises.

Behavioral Objectives
  1. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to integrate 3 conditioning exercises targeting core strength into their rehabilitation program for a young, female athlete.
  2. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to propose 2 functional tests to assess the dynamic Q angle for the female athlete.
  3. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to integrate 4 anti-extension exercises for core strengthening, in a young female volleyball player as part of a balanced rehabilitation program.
  4. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be able to develop a protocol utilizing all 4 components of core strengthening for a young female softball player.
